Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2025
VarsityVision Athlete Network (“VarsityVision”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a visibility platform that helps high school athletes share information about themselves with college coaches and recruiters. This Privacy Policy explains, in simple terms, how information is handled in connection with this website.
1. What VarsityVision Is (and Is Not)
VarsityVision is designed as an informational platform. Athletes and their families choose what information to share in a profile, including links to highlight videos hosted on other services. VarsityVision does not guarantee any recruiting outcomes and does not act as an agent or representative for athletes or colleges.
2. Information Athletes and Families Choose to Provide
Athletes (and, where appropriate, their parents/guardians or coaches) may choose to submit information such as:
- Name, high school, city and state.
- Graduation year, sport, and position.
- Basic physical information (height, weight) and athletic statistics.
- Academic information (GPA, test scores if provided).
- Links to highlight videos hosted on third-party platforms.
- Contact information for the athlete, parent/guardian, or high school coach.
This information is provided voluntarily by the athlete and/or their family. VarsityVision does not independently verify all information before it is viewed by colleges, although profiles may be reviewed for basic appropriateness before being made visible.
3. How Information May Be Used
Information shared on this site may be used in the following ways:
- To display athlete profiles to college coaches and recruiters who have legitimate access to the platform.
- To respond to inquiries from athletes, families, or colleges.
- To maintain and improve the website and its features.
- To support safety, moderation, and guideline enforcement (for example, removing inappropriate content).
VarsityVision does not sell athlete profiles or personal details to unrelated third parties for marketing lists.
4. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
Like many websites, VarsityVision may use basic analytics tools to understand how the site is used (for example, which pages are visited most often). These tools may set cookies or collect general information about browser type, device, and approximate location.
If advertising services such as Google AdSense are used, those services may place cookies or use similar technologies to show relevant ads and measure performance. These services may have their own privacy and cookie policies, which govern their use of data.
5. Links to Third-Party Sites and Videos
Athlete profiles may include links to highlight videos hosted on third-party platforms (such as common video hosting sites). VarsityVision does not control those platforms. Any information collected by those third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, not this one.
6. Minors and Parent/Guardian Involvement
VarsityVision is intended for high school athletes, who are often minors. We strongly encourage parents, guardians, and high school coaches to be involved in creating, reviewing, and updating profiles, and in any communication with colleges that may follow.
VarsityVision does not knowingly invite children under the age of 13 to submit personal information directly without parent or guardian involvement. If we become aware that personal information from a child under 13 has been submitted without appropriate consent, we may take steps to remove or limit that information.
7. Information Security and Retention
VarsityVision aims to maintain reasonable measures to help protect information submitted through the site. However, no website or online platform can guarantee perfect security.
Because VarsityVision is positioned as a visibility tool and not a permanent archive, profiles and related information may be removed or edited periodically, including when athletes graduate, request changes, or when content appears outdated or inappropriate.
8. Your Choices
Athletes and families have choices regarding the information they share:
- They may choose how much or how little information to provide in a profile.
- They may request that a profile be updated, edited, or removed from public view.
- They may choose not to include certain contact details or academic information.
Please note that once information has been viewed by a college or downloaded by a coach, VarsityVision cannot control copies retained by those programs.
9. Not Legal, Eligibility, or Compliance Advice
VarsityVision does not provide legal advice, eligibility counseling, or compliance guidance. Athletes, families, and colleges are responsible for understanding and following recruiting rules and regulations set by organizations such as the NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, state associations, and local school systems.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically as the platform evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the site after changes are posted indicates understanding of the updated policy.
11. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or about information appearing on a profile, please use the contact details provided on the site’s contact page.
